Random sighting

Daniel and went to the Aquarium of the Pacific with Cody's class on Friday and who just happened to be there...Mel Gibson. Funny thing is that no one acted like they recognized him which I am sure he appreciated. We passed him a couple of times while walking with the kids. Just a random sighting!

Memorial weekend part 2

While I was away with the girls Daniel and Cody and Kyle went camping with some friends. They had a blast and Cody can't wait for the next camping trip. These pictures are very wacky but they are the only ones that were taken!

They got to sleep in the back of Daniel's truck since Daniel got a camper shell put on awhile back. Another thing that Cody absolutely loves!

The boys also went over to Daniel's parents on Memorial Day to do the annual swimming and BBQ. Sounds like fun was had by all!

GIRLS WEEKEND!!!!

Where to begin...I had a great Memorial weekend. I took a trip to Portland, Or. to see my best friends from college. It still amazes us that we met each other 15 years ago on a little island in the Pacific.  (Are we really that old?) We decided to say goodbye to our families for a few days and just enjoyed being together. We caught up, we reminisced, we ate good food, we had a movie night, we went to the spa to get facials, we got pedicures, we went to the farmers market at Portland State University, we celebrated our birthdays and we spent some needed time in the hot tub relaxing. Unfortunately my camera is broken so I didn't get to take pictures.  I returned home happy to see my hubby and kid! Needless to say that I missed them a lot but I sure did enjoy a stress free weekend with the girls. Thanks to Daniel, Jen and Allison for surprising me with this girls weekend so we could celebrate our friendship and birthdays! Looking forward to our next girls weekend!

Nothing like a little Jillian to start the day!

I have never been real into workout DVDs but I am intrigued by this one. I am on day four and enjoying it. We will see if I am really ripped in 30! My hopes aren't up too high but I'd like to be bathing suit ready in 30!

We are in love!

Meet the new addition to our family. Her name is Sophie, she's 3 mo. old and has been tons of fun. We got her from someone that knew someone. She's a very smart girl. Potty training has gone very well, and crate training has gone well also. She a mix of Cockerspaniel, Poodle and Jack Russell terrier. Her and Bella are getting use to each other and play quite a bit. It's pretty funny to watch. Sophie is 100% puppy but she's pretty calm and listens really well. We are in love!

Spring Break 2011

Our family decided to do a little something from the norm for our Spring Break. We headed out to Palm Desert for a little bit of fun. We stayed at the Rancho Las Palmas. We chose this hotel because it has a mini water park and a ton of restaurants around it. We started the day at the fitness center (of course) and ended at the water park or the lazy river. One recommendation for you parents out there...make sure your sun screen isn't expired. Cody ended up with a bad burn on his back so we had to go buy him a rash guard. We made lots of good memories though.

Cody had fun spraying kids he didn't know. Next time we will bring a friend so he can play and squirt someone he knows. Most of the kids there were good sports...after all it is a WATER park!!

Daniel and Cody didn't exactly relax in the lazy river. They played chase! I got in there a couple of times. One time I jumped in and managed to stay dry but then I got squirted in the face by some random kid. There were a million people around so how he chose me I will never know! Good times!

Cody was excited to have this big bed all to himself. Since it was vacation we told Cody he could stay up as long as he wanted to but sure enough with all of the playing and sun he was asleep by 8:00 every night.

This shows how close we were to the lazy river. It was literally right outside our back door. In the morning all we had to do was go out our gate to enter into the water park.

Before we went to Palm Desert we were able to see and spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa Bell. We went down south to have lunch and play on the rocks at the beach. Cody loves seeing his Grandparents! Not to mention that means that he gets to play with Autumn's boys everyday while they are here.

While my parents were here another activity we did with everyone is dye eggs. The boys had a fun time coloring their eggs. The Easter Bunny did make it to our home and Cody found all of his eggs! At least nothing is stinking as of yet!! Thanks Mom and Dad for your visit. It's always fun to have you guys around!
