Pumpkin patch with Grandma and Grandpa Bell

We took a trip to Pa's Pumpkin patch while Grandma and Grandpa Bell were in town. The boys loved having them here. We also had our Aunt Rendi here on business and Colby and his girlfriend Emily came to visit all at the same time. Needless to say the out of state family wanted to go out and have some fun while here. We had our ward harvest festival which all went to. Cody wasn't feeling too good but we thought we'd try to take him anyways...big mistake. Cody threw up all over me so we headed home. The rest of the crowd (besides grandma and grandpa) went out to Knott's Scary Farm. We hear that was quite an interesting time...long lines and a weird pole dancing haunted house. I think we were glad we had to stay home after all. Grandma Bell ended up returning back to Cali the following week to help Autumn take care of the boys while Ryan worked out of town so the boys got their fill!! Cody isn't asking everyday to see grandma! As cute as that was...it was getting old. We are planing a trip to Utah in a few weeks and Cody is excited to play in the snow. This is my favorite time of the year and as soon as our fall weather returns, I will be happy!! Although I may gain about 5 lbs from all of the candy corn pumpkins I eat!! We hope everyone has a fun, safe Halloween.

Honey do list

Our lives aren't too crazy like those with two or more children. We are usually up to the same old stuff. Which is me asking Daniel to continuously work on the house doing random updates. I, myself love working on our home, but I don't know how to do the hard stuff. I tend to start projects and then Daniel has to finish them. Painting is a love for me so I always want to paint everything. And I am known to change my mind quite frequently...which drives my poor husband crazy! One day I love blue and then after watching HGTV I see a room yellow and fall in love with that! It's the artist in me that loves to keep creating. Here are a few of our updates. Not too exciting, I know, but it's our lives right now.

Possibly the end of the tunnel?

A quick update on the foot situation for those who are interested. I am seeing a new Dr. now. It's kind of bitter-sweet because my wonderful previous Dr. who is a dermatologist was not there the past appointment I had at the office, and the other Dr. at the practice that I saw told me there was nothing they could do for me at this point since I am not taking any birth control and that if I wanted to have another baby to go ahead and do that and then come back for treatment...!!! What??? I left with a weird feeling that my Dr. was leaving the practice so I was referred to another Dr. by a friend of the family. Come to find out, my previous Dr (the wonderful dermatologist) suddenly was diagnosed with a brain tumor, had the surgery, but soon after slipped into a coma and it is not looking good. I was shocked at the news and felt terrible. The man is only in his 30's and I know he has a small child! I sure hope his wife and family are doing okay. It's hard to internalize tragic situations like these and it really reminds you of how short life can be. I sure hope in his case that a miracle happens.
As for the update, this new Dr. has been dealing with these for years and seems really good. After seeing him again today he said that my foot is doing very well and he thinks that the planters wart is gone!!! Of course we will keep watching it but that's awesome news for me since I thought it was coming back.

National Stay at Home Week

I don't know about everyone else but I am sure excited for this week!!!

Last night alone there was Prison Break, Dancing with the stars and Heros!! I had to tivo everything!!

Burn baby, Burn!

One thing that I have seen over the many years going to the gym and every time detouring far far away from was these types of spinning bikes and classes. Although the extremely high caloric burn is pretty temping, I have heard of the crazy burning quads and hamstrings in your legs that you endure for an hour straight and thought...what kind of crazy person would want to torture their legs in such a way? Not to mention the pain of the next day. I could only imagine the limping and soreness of muscles! Ouch!

For my first day back to the gym Daniel and I decided to join some of those crazy people this morning. I don't know what wild hair really got us there but once we started lets face it, your ego can't really let you leave and feel the failure. It's the only challenge fitness wise that we haven't tried and conquered! Keep in mind this was my first time back at the gym since June and my foot surgery. So we both were sweating, head down in exhaustion, at times closing our eyes to regain focus and feeling our legs burning like crazy. To keep myself going I kept reminding myself of the size of jeans I want to comfortably fit into this winter. I must say that it's probably one of the harder workouts I've ever done and I fully intend to go back!! I may become one of those crazy people on a normal basis. I will admit that I do love the burning and feeling that I pushed my body to the limits. I also will admit to enjoying the soreness the day later to a point, but I did try to pace myself today so that I wouldn't be too sore. Daniel and I walked out of there with sweat dripping and jelly legs but after a cool shower I felt wonderful!! I highly recommend it for anyone who likes to feel the burn!! What can I say... I am one of those crazy people and have always been!! It's nice to know that I have a husband who loves to do this type of stuff with me too!

If it could only be this way forever!!

The past couple of days have been pure heaven!! To start, Cody started school and speech therapy and was excited to go back so there were no tears just a few butterflies when he got to his class. Next, a kid that he did not really like that was in his class last year is in his class this year but as soon as Cody recognized that he was the only one in his class he knew they instantly became friends! And then to top it off the weather has taken a turn for the best possible for it still being the end of summer. My favorite time of year is fall and as I looked to my neighbors tree I saw the leaves changing color. It made my day, not to mention the weather was in the upper 70's which is perfect for sitting out in shorts and sandals (not sweating my butt off) but had a nice breeze as the evening approached. One last upper was Cody will ride his bike all day long up and down the street by himself-no more training wheels (as we posted last) and sometimes I will join him but then sometimes I get to sit out in the perfect weather and read a book! Wow...if it could only be this way FOREVER!!!!
